Another month, another Birchbox! (Ok so this was from March…I’m a little behind.) I’m starting to get quite the collection of beauty samples, but I can’t resist seeing what comes every month. My third Birchbox came in February and I tell ya, I almost get more excited about finding out what the box is going to look like than the products inside. I’m still enjoying being exposed to brands and products I’ve never heard of, but those boxes are so darn cute! I received my second Birchbox this January and I have to tell you I really look forward to seeing that box in the mail! I love sample sizes, but I really love getting introduced to products I’ve never heard of before. Birchbox is a monthly service that sends hair, makeup, and skincare products in sample sizes for you try. Let’s see what came in January’s box!

January’s theme was “Let’s Do This,” which was appropriate for kicking off the new year right!

Just like my December box, I got more skincare/hair items than makeup, and that’s fine by me! I love lotions and perfumes and I’ve been trying to find a shampoo/condition combo of better quality than what I’m getting at the drugstore. I’ve also been really pleased with the size of the samples. They may look small, but I’ve gotten several uses out of everything they’ve sent so far.

Birchbox #1

Last month I started subscribing to Birchbox. It’s a monthly service that sends hair, makeup, and skincare products in sample sizes for you try. I’d heard of Birchbox before, but was never really interested in that kind of stuff until lately. Since I’m new to this whole area I thought I’d sign up so I could try different products before committing to the full size. I signed up in late December, so I still got the December box…in early January. Let’s take a look at what was inside!

First, the boxes are really cute. I’m a container hoarder so I’m keeping them for now. Inside the box is always some sort of card with a message and on the back explains the products inside. This box also had an awesome $10 gift card to Gap as a holiday surprise…only it expired at the end of the year and I didn’t get my box until January. Boo, but no biggie.

I was really happy on first look at what was inside! I’ve heard somewhere that Birchbox is heavier on skincare than makeup and that’s fine with me. I’m incredibly new to this world of products so I love seeing what’s out there. I was really pleased at the sample sizes, too.
