My twelfth Stitch Fix was life-changing. I’d sworn off maxi dresses and thought I was just one of those girls that never looked good in them. Wrong! I had zero expectation for the one they sent in this fix…until I put it on. Spoiler alert, I kept it. What’s Stitch Fix? Read my first post to find out more. 41Hawthorn Renesme Graphic Print Faux Wrap Dress $78

I should also say this fix was life-changing because wrap dresses also never look good on me. This faux version did! I loved the bold orange color and it just makes me feel girly. I pair this with turquoise jewelry and gets lots of compliments on it. Kept it.

Stitch Fix, Fix #11

I received my eleventh Stitch Fix in April of this year. I usually wait until I get a fix to schedule the next one, instead of using automatic shipments. In January, I couldn’t get another fix until April! Stitch Fix must be busy! What’s Stitch Fix? Read my first post to find out more. I absolutely love getting dresses from them, so I keep writing “Keep the dressings coming!” in the notes to my stylist. As noted in previous fixes, I don’t have much luck with jeans or skirts, so I purposely request to not receive those. Here’s the scoop on this fix!

Moon Collection Frany Cap Sleeve Cotton Embroidered Hemline Dress $38

I loved this dress! I wanted this dress so badly. The embroidered hemline is gorgeous! And hello, $38 bucks! Except that this thirty-something looked like a damn kindergartener in it. I looked like one of those ladies who just can’t let go of her youth and continues to wear clothes way too young for her. Reluctantly sent this one back.

Papermoon Mada Chevron Sleeveless Dress $68

I was so-so on this one, but ended up keeping it. This would be an example of the stripes they keep sending (does chevron count?) and I keep buying. It’s kind of a plain dress and the armholes are a little bigger than I’d like. I wear it with some strappy, kitten heels and red jewelry, and it really snazzes up the look. It’s slightly longer in the back, which I don’t like normally, but this one isn’t as drastic as some others.

Pomelo Cherise Cotton Tab Sleeve Henley Shirt $58

Yawn. This is so boring compared to what they usually send. Comfortable, but way too casual and frumpy. I’d never wear this out, so I sent it back.

Isaac Floral Print Tab Sleeve Blouse $58

Does this look familiar? Check out my Fix #5. Yep, almost the same pattern, but sleeveless and in black. I kept that blouse and this one, too! That pale blue was way too pretty to send back. I figured since this one had longer sleeves, they were different enough to keep both. I wear this with a nude tank top underneath since it’s so sheer.

Papermoon Lexis Tribal Print Henley Tank Top $48

Yuck. Hated this in the box, hated it on. That print is hideous. Sent it back.

Stitch Fix, Fix #10

My tenth Stitch Fix arrived last January. What’s Stitch Fix? Read my first post to find out more. I skipped getting a fix for December since the holidays get a little hectic and I always gain a couple of pounds, so I figured I wouldn’t be thrilled with trying on clothes at that time. Even though I’m requesting dresses and blouses, they’re still sending jeans and skirts. After this fix, I’ve requested for no skirts or jeans to be sent. Skirts are my enemy no matter where they come from and I’m entirely too picky about jeans. Still haven’t received a bag, but that’s alright as I enjoy getting clothes more. I dislike clothes shopping, but I love shopping for purses and bags! Here’s the scoop on this fix!

Just Black Adora Skinny Jean $88

And another pair of jeans that are just weird. Loved the color of the denim, but these jeans were too long and huge in the thighs. They aren’t really what I consider skinny jeans. Look how wide the legs are all the way down to the ankles! Sent these back.

41Hawthorn Violet Ponte Pencil Skirt $58

Skirts hate me and I hate them. My body is apple shaped, so skirts always make me look dumpy. This one had zippers and pockets in odd places. I don’t think I would have kept it even if skirts didn’t make me look like I’m rockin’ a mean spare tire. Sent this one back.

Ezra Chance Geo Print Belted Shift Dress $48

This dress is super cute! I wore it last Fall with (you guessed it!) a cardigan, tights, and boots! I wish the pattern were in the back too because the all navy in the back is boring to me (and doesn’t hide my flaws as well as the patterned side), which is why I haven’t worn this dress without a cardigan. It would be great for the Summer though because it’s thin material. You can’t tell from the pics, but the neckline is a V-shaped cutout. When I sit, it kind of bunches up and I have to be careful that it doesn’t give a peep show. Those two reasons are why I don’t wear this dress more often, but I do still like it.

41Hawthorn Ivy Tulip Print Tab Sleeve Blouse $68

I cannot remember for the life of me why I sent this back. The pattern is super cute (which I will get a sleeveless blouse with this exact pattern in grey in a future fix, so yay!) and it’s such a classic color combination. I think it was because the neckline is really plunging. Or it could have been because it was either too big or too small in the hips. I really wish I could remember because I’m looking at it now and it’s so pretty! It must’ve been something with the fit. Oh well.

Loveappella Strasbourg Split-Neck Knit Top $48

Purple is my favorite color and I love the dark, jewel-toned purple in this top. It’s a knit top, which I usually stay away from since the material gets funky after a few washes, but I adored the color! The shirt it super comfy, too. The only downside to this top is that it’s too casual. The cut of it and the material make it look like an everyday t-shirt. I haven’t worn it a lot because it looks so casual.

I only kept the dress and the purple top from this fix. Kind of a bummer since both I don’t wear much for various reasons. I’m glad the weather in Nashville is getting a bit cooler so I can rock that dress again. Stay tuned for posts on future fixes! Stitch Fix, Fix #9

My ninth Stitch Fix arrived last November. What’s Stitch Fix? Read my first post to find out more. I really need to get a move on in posting these, but as I’ve said before it gives me a chance to also talk about if I’m actually wearing the items that I keep. I’m still requesting mostly dresses and blouses since I’ve not had much luck with their jeans fitting me right. I’m also still not receiving jewelry, but have thought about reconsidering that. They do have bags as an option and I’ve got that marked as something I’d like to receive, but haven’t yet. I may make a special request for one in an upcoming fix just to see one. Here’s the scoop on this fix!

Mak Auburn Open Front Cardigan $58

This thing was a hot mess. I’ve said many times before how I love a good cardigan, but not this one. It weighed about a ton and I couldn’t really figure it out. It’s gathered in the back, with huge pleats, and that makes it look like the coats worn in the War of 1812. Sent this one back.

Zouk Demsie 3/4 Sleeve Crochet Knit Shirt $58

This shirt was so romantic and pretty to me. It comes with a black tank underneath that is super tiny, but fortunately very stretchy. It’s a little shorter than I’d like but the crochet material is so soft. I kept this, but I haven’t worn it yet. Yikes, it’s been almost a year! Now I’m questioning why I kept it.

41Hawthorn Selfridge Cowl Neck Long Sleeve Top $48

Oh look, another 41Hawthorn item. I’m not sure how Stitch Fix works behind the scenes to get their clothes, but there’s almost always a 41Hawthorn* item. Not sure why this bugs me, because I end up keeping most of them, but I feel like I could just go straight to the source. Anyway, I loved the color of this one. That cobalt blue is stunning! The cowl neck isn’t too bulky and hangs nicely. The sleeves are a bit snug and so is the back of the shirt, so I wear it with a cardigan to hide my rolls. It’s super cute with my usual pairing of jeans and boots. Can’t wait to start wearing this one again once it’s officially Fall!

*Update 9/30/14 – Thanks to Christine for leaving a comment below and explaining that 41Hawthorn IS the Stitch Fix label! That explains it! Now it won’t bug me since I know they are the source.

41Hawthorn Aleah Heathered V-Neck Dolman Top $48

See what I mean about 41Hawthorn? But why am I complaining because I kept this one, too! This top looks great with jeans and boots as well. I do have to wear a black tank top underneath because the neckline is a little too plunging for my taste. I love the heathered burgundy color. The top is long, but it’s got a thick waistband so it stays in place on my hips. I like how the sleeves are flowy, too.

Eight Sixty Lendon Cross-Front Sleeveless Blouse $68

I liked the color of this blouse, but the cut is shapeless. The bottom is elastic and the material hangs over it, so it looked like I was sporting a pretty mean muffin top. It was really sheer, too. That’s another thing starting to bug me a bit with Stitch Fix. They seem to send a lot of sheer items and I’m getting tired of having to wear tank tops under all my blouses. Perhaps I need to note “no sheer” on my next fixes.

I kept three items in this fix and I’ve never worn one of them. That crocheted top is so darn cute, I need to bust it out! I still like wearing the two other tops and am glad I kept them. Stitch Fix, Fix #8

My eighth Stitch Fix came last October. What’s Stitch Fix? Read my first post to find out more. I’m reporting on my fixes several months after receiving them, but that lets me tell you what I’m actually still wearing of what I kept. I didn’t keep a single item from my last fix, but they sent some cute stuff (I just couldn’t fit in it!). So after adjusting my sizes in a few different items, I was excited to get my next box.

Kut from the Kloth Denna Dark Wash Skinny Jean $98

Here we go again with the skinny jeans. These are actual denim, which I was happy about but for skinny jeans the legs were huge! I loved how dark they were, but I looked really odd in them. Snug waist and ginormous, baggy legs. I sent them back.

41Hawthorn Filbert 3/4 Sleeve Popover Blouse $58

This blouse is a gorgeous crimson and I love the pockets in the front. The picture doesn’t show the deep red color correctly. It’s got nice details in the sleeves and I like how the bottom of the blouse is curved so it looks great untucked with jeans. It’s very slimming though the waist and gets bigger on the bottom. This top was every so slightly too snug, but I kept it anyway! I try not to do that, but I just loved the color. Finally got to wear this blouse thanks to my weight loss. So glad I kept it!

Tart Peg Cowl Neck Gathered Front Top $88

I loved this top, but it was way too similar to the green cowl I kept in my sixth fix. For $88 I couldn’t justify keeping it. I wish Stitch Fix would let you keep an item and send one back that you kept from a previous fix!

Renee C Landry Printed Cross-Front Blouse $58

This thing is hideous. I knew I wouldn’t like it when I pulled it out of the box. I don’t like the pattern or the color. It’s very sheer and billowy and made me look huge. Sent this one back.

Pink Martini Mario Colorblock Exposed Zipper Dress $88

I saved the best for last! I ADORE this dress. I like how it looks like you’re wearing a blouse with a skirt. Since I got this dress in October when it was chillier, I paired it with grey tights and brown boots and a cardigan. It looked so cute! Now that it’s warmer, I wear it as is with tan suede wedges. I absolutely love how the back shows the zipper and it’s yellow all the way up against the navy. I don’t know why, but it’s such a cool detail. Kept it!

I kept two items from this fix and I’m still very happy with both all these months later. Other than the not-skinny, skinny jeans and hideous print blouse, this wasn’t a bad fix. Stitch Fix, Fix #7

My seventh Stitch Fix came last September. What’s Stitch Fix? Read my first post to find out more. I’m reporting on my fixes several months after receiving them, but that lets me tell you what I’m actually still wearing of what I kept. I’ve had a lot of luck with my last few fixes as Catherine has been my stylist and she’s really good at picking what I like. So, let’s dive in and see what I got in this fix!

Under Skies Serene Button-Up Long Cardigan $48

You guys know I love cardigans. Love them. They’re comfortable and they can make a Spring/Summer top ready for Fall. They are so versatile. I really loved the royal blue color of this one and it was super comfy, but it was too long. It swallowed me and just wasn’t very flattering. Sent this back.

Coconinno Carrie Polka Dot Fit & Flare Dress $118

This dress was so cute! I loved the color, cut, and the pattern. Back in September, I was slowly gaining weight, so this dress didn’t fit. For the price, I wasn’t going to keep it hoping I’d lose weight and wear it someday. Although I could probably fit in it today! Reluctantly sent this one back.

19 Cooper Cathleen Split-Neck Tulip-Sleeve Blouse $68

This shirt was super cute and I loved the fuchsia. However, I already own a similar top in the same color. I had the same problem in my fifth fix with another fuchsia top. Would have kept this had it been in another color, but I sent this back.

Sanctuary Rizzo Skinny Ponte Pants in Black $88

These were awful. The pants in this fix were just ridiculous. Tight, yet baggy. The legs were skinny around my calves and ankles, but crazy baggy in the thighs. They also had these weird seams in the middle of the legs. Even if they did fit properly, they were way too long. I’m 5’7″ so I don’t know who these pants were designed for…Giselle I guess. Sent them back.

C. Luce Lorelei Lace Top Dress $78

Oh my gosh I fell in love with this dress the second I pulled it out of the box! It’s so cute and pretty. Except that I couldn’t fit in it. Damn that weight gain. Just like the other dress, I sent this one back because I didn’t want to hang on to it in the hopes that I’d fit in it someday. I so wish I had though because I’ve since lost 13 pounds and could absolutely wear it now. *sigh*

I didn’t keep a single thing in this fix, but I was ok with that because unlike my third fix, there were several items I liked in this fix. Catherine still got my style right (except for those horrid pants). I really really really wanted those two dresses. After this fix, I adjusted my sizing so I wouldn’t have the same problem with dresses in future fixes. Stay tuned for fix #8! Stitch Fix, Fix #6

It’s been way too long since my last Stitch Fix report! I got this sixth fix back in August last year. What’s Stitch Fix? Read my first post to find out more. I also got a snazzy remote for my camera so I can take pictures of me in the clothes! Sounds exciting, but clearly I am better at taking pictures of food than of myself. Another downside is that I’m too embarrassed with how a shirt and a skirt looked to even show them. Womp womp. I may just stick to snapping pics of the fixes on hangers. Here’s what I received in this fix.

Papermoon Wynn Polka Dot Print Front Pocket Blouse $48

Love this blouse so much! Kept this one. I wear it all the time. It’s navy, but I wear a black tank top underneath since it’s so sheer. It’s extremely comfortable and I love how you can dress it up or down. I wear it with dark jeans and black flats a lot.

Kut from the Kloth Isabel Sheer Beaded Detail Blouse $68

I was really torn with this one. Looking at the pictures I still think it’s absolutely gorgeous. I love the sparkle. It’s a bit big though, so I decided to send it back since it didn’t give me much shape. The center strip is sheer, so I was a little self-conscious about that, too.

Lilla P Gavin V-Neck Ruched Waist Top $50

This is the shirt I’m too embarrassed to show. It’s about a million sizes too small, so it was really hard to even put on and looked terrible. It’s a floral print with an odd shade of red and a pale beige color. It’s gathered on one side and showed every roll and flaw. I laughed hysterically and sent it back!

Renee C Robinson Maxi Skirt $48

This is another picture I won’t be sharing. Skirts are odd on my body in general and I rarely wear them. This skirt was super comfortable and a pretty dark navy, but just didn’t look right. I sent it back.

41Hawthorn Amani Cowl Neck Sleeveless Blouse $48

This blouse is a dark green and has a cute little apple charm to weigh down the cowl so it stays in place. I was up in the air on this one until I paired it with a cardigan. I’m a cardigan junkie and wear them pretty much all the time. I really liked this top paired with the cardigan. It’s a bit on the long side and the material in front is nicer than the material in the back. In hindsight, I wish I had returned it. I don’t wear it very much because the cowl is awkward and bulky. In a future fix, they will send a similar top that I wish I could have traded this one for!

Stitch Fix, Fix #5

Still going strong with Stitch Fix! I’m really enjoying the service and a nice side effect is that it’s help me shop better when I’m actually out shopping for clothes. What’s Stitch Fix? Read my first post to find out more. I got my fifth fix back in July, but what’s great about posting these way after the fact, is that I can report if I’m actually wearing the clothes I keep. Here’s what I received in my fix.

Lilla P Aurelia Knit Skirt

I really wanted to keep this skirt because it was incredibly comfortable and had pockets. It was soft and felt like buttah. I have no idea what I’d wear it with though. I think only a white top would look good with the odd shade of green and I’m very picky about skirts. Generally I avoid them because I’m apple-shaped and they tend to look horrible on me. I sent this one back because I knew I’d never wear it.

Stitch Fix, Fix #4

My fourth fix from Stitch Fix came back in June. What’s Stitch Fix? Read my first post to find out more. My last fix was the first time I didn’t like a thing in the box. Huge bummer and I wasn’t sure if I should continue the service, but I pressed on! This fourth fix was picked for me by Catherine who’s been my stylist ever since…because she rocks!

Hourglass Lilly Preston V-Neck Empire Waist Top

My camera skills aren’t doing this color justice. It’s more of a vibrant teal, not the blue you see here. It’s super comfy. I wear a white tank underneath since it’s got a plunging neckline and I accessorize with a chunky orange and pink necklace. It’s super cute. Kept it!

Stitch Fix, Fix #3

This is my third fix from Stitch Fix that I received back in May. What’s Stitch Fix? Read my first post to find out more. So far I’ve kept three pieces total from my first two fixes. I’m still loving the thrill of getting a box of clothes each month, so I couldn’t wait to see what I’d find in this one.

Fun2Fun Jaelyn Chevron Stripe Hi-Lo Blouse

This fix didn’t start off so well with this blouse. It’s not pretty on the hanger and looked a million times worse on. It’s longer in the back (which I’m noticing Stitch Fix send a lot of items like that) and it’s huge for a size medium. I sent this one back.
