Thanks for the recipe. I actually made these into whoopie pies. I just dropped teaspoonfuls of the batter onto a parchment lined cookie sheet and baked them at the same temperature for 14-15 minutes. After they cooled, I put the icing in the middle of two cakes to form a sandwich. They turned out well. The basic recipe really makes it special. Oh, and I quickly found out that you really need to wrap each whoopie pie individually in plastic wrap for storage.

Thanks so much for making these for my birthday!! They were totally awesome!! The frosting rocked my world! So good and so proud that you strayed from the tub frosting!!

oh and uh, you can stop talking about those stupid ugly cupcakes, or what you call the most fabulously decorated cupcakes...whateva!! HAHA!!
