Last summer I had decided that I was paying way too much to the cable company. In an effort to save a few bucks, I decided to downgrade my cable for the summer. My shows aren’t on and the summer selection is pretty slim. So down went the bill…all the way to 13 bucks. Now what kind of TV do you get for 13 bucks? Not a whole heck of a lot! Which led me to watch Nashville Public Television one Sunday morning. Lo and behold, there was Tennessee Crossroads introducing me to The Cupcake Collection.
So, how’s it taste?
I have died and gone to cupcake heaven. Seriously. The picture above shows the Red Velvet and the Pineapple Upside Down. The red velvet is my favorite. It’s red perfection topped with a mouth-watering cream cheese frosting. The Peanut Butter Mousse is is a peanut butter-chocolate combination you won’t believe! Ooo, and you must try the Coconut Creme! You’ll find your basic cupcake flavors, but they will often throw in some unique ones like Blackout, Sweet Potato, Sweet Lemonade, and even Caramel Apple. What I really appreciate about these cupcakes is that it’s a nice balance of cake to frosting. Other cupcake places put way too much frosting on their cupcakes for me, but this place has got it down. I am making it my mission to try every flavor. And I am not kidding! The Cupcake Collection is located in the Germantown area of Nashville at 1213 6th Avenue North. Now I tell ya, downgrading my cable turned out to be one of the most delicious decisions I’ve ever made! So yes, you can have your cupcake and eat it too!
