You probably need to find a recipe for chocolate cake. This recipe is very vanilla, so I’m not sure how much cocoa powder you would need to add. My favorite chocolate cupcake recipe is by Hershey’s. Vanilla bean paste is the same measure for measure with vanilla extract or a vanilla bean. One teaspoon of vanilla bean paste equals one vanilla bean or one teaspoon of vanilla extract. I did! I use vanilla bean paste a lot in recipes instead of extract. It’s the same measurement.
